Wiebren Boonstra holds a PhD in Rural Sociology and worked at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala University, and the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University. Currently he is a faculty member of the programme Natural Resources and Sustainable Development, at the Department of Earth Sciences at Uppsala University.
