The European Coral Reef Symposium (ECRS) is dedicated to advancing the Missions and Aims of the International Coral Reef Society (ICRS) within Europe and among reef scientists situated in or visiting the continent. Hosted every four years, the ECRS rotates among European countries, facilitated by the European Chapter of the International Coral Reef Society (ICRS). ECRS 2024 is scheduled to take place in Naples, Italy, hosted at the Città della Scienza and the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station.
In this iteration of ECRS, our focus will center on narrowing the knowledge gaps among tropical, temperate, and cold-water coral reefs. The symposium endeavors to unite coral reef scientists, researchers, conservationists, policymakers, and reef managers. Participants will share the latest research findings and exchange crucial knowledge essential for informing international and national policies in the conservation and sustainable utilization of coral reefs.
