Under the theme ‘accelerating action and mobilizing all actors to conserve and sustainably use the ocean’, the 2025 UN Ocean Conference aims to advance the implementation of SDG 14. The objective is to adopt a concise, action oriented and intergovernmentally agreed declaration, supported by voluntary commitments, called the ‘Nice Ocean Action Plan’.
The conference will gather global stakeholders, including governments, international organizations, NGOs, scientists, and the private sector, to assess progress, challenges, and opportunities in sustainable ocean use.
